Welcome to Major Fixer, where I write about restoring my 126-year-old house — and myself.
This is a space to talk about the process of putting down roots in my new hometown of Portland, Oregon, as well as what it’s like to be a 39-year-old woman who’s falling in love with many parts of herself and her life for the very first time.
In a former life, I was a mom blogger and freelance journalist. You might recognize me from publications like Scary Mommy, Romper, and Cosmopolitan. Now, I mostly work behind the scenes in editing and content marketing.
Outside of this space, you can find me spending time with my cute husband and kids, begging for attention from our three cats, lifting weights, reading books, playing video games, and making any excuse to be outside enjoying in this gorgeous state where I live.
